Logic Relation between the 2 Categories

We heard IoT and M2M are used to bring objects and systems to interact with one another in order to enable data exchange among them. When it comes to information collection and exchange, in Machine-to-Machine setting all the data goes to data center; in IoT we can observe traffic distribution with some part of data flowing to data center and the remains were kept at the network edge.
